What is Pilates

Pilates is a body conditioning method designed to increase strength, flexibility, mobility, balance and body awareness. 

As its popularity has increased, a growing number of elite athletes do Pilates as a way of improving their coordination, flexibility and technique, as well as for prevention and recovery from injuries.

 

That said, Pilates is for everybody and is a safe and effective exercise method that will enable you to look and feel your very best.

 

As a result, your posture will change, and you will move more efficiently. You’ll achieve a strong core, develop longer, leaner muscles and improve your overall sense of well-being. 

Reformer Pilates

Reformer Pilates is a workout that is suitable for anyone. The adjustable springs of the reformer machine allow for exercises to be modified to suit individual needs.

 

Reformer Pilates engages all muscles in the body, and the spring resistance forces the muscles, particularly the core, to work harder than they would on the ground. It can help reduce aches and pains within muscles and joints, improve alignment, and increase flexibility.

Matwork Pilates

Matwork Pilates is designed to challenge and strengthen the entire body, while also promoting stability and flexibility. The use of Pilates props adds an extra level of resistance and difficulty to the exercises, helping to increase muscle tone and improve overall strength.

 

A matwork session is suitable for everybody, and can be altered to accommodate different fitness levels and abilities.
